F. Read Hopkins Pediatric Associates, Inc., Lynchburg, VIrginia
This is a one-story, 14,000 square foot pediatric medical office. It has “sick” and “well” waiting rooms. The clinic is designed with some “playfulness” to lessen the stress on children. Although the facility was built in 1989, in 2005 one of the doctors commented: “I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Medical Design International performed its Medical Facility Planning Analysis on the project to help the doctors understand their productivity potential as well as the amount of space that would be required. MDI then designed the office, including all the medical planning as well as the architecture of the building.
