Beginning in the mid 1980’s MDI started a relationship with KOC. Initially MDI performed its Medical Facility Planning Analysis on the practice in their 14,000 square foot Concord Street facility. After the practice bought land on Weisgarber Road, MDI performed its Medical Space Planning and Design service for the design of the new facility.
The new office consisted of 30,000 square feet, accommodated 5 doctors seeing patients at a time and had a large physical therapy department, including an in-ground pool.
Later KOC wished to develop a satellite office in West Knoxville. MDI updated its Medical Facility Planning Analysis and performed its Medical Space Planning for that new office.
