One challenge presented by this project was the need to create a balanced architectural ensemble from a program which mandated a first floor clinical plan more than twice the size of the second floor business and administration spaces.
The finished project, totaling approximately 38,000 square feet, houses space for six (6) exam modules, each with five (5 exam rooms and supporting doctor and nurse spaces, a digital x-ray suite, a large physical therapy suite and accommodations for mobile MRI service; all feeding off centralized reception, check-out and scheduling services.
Tying the interior and exterior massing together is a two-story atrium with large window and a 25’ high ceiling. Featured within this space is a 15’ high by 48’ wide sports theme mural depicting the client’s corporate tag line.
The building was designed and situated on the site with an understanding of future program needs as well as current needs. This will help facilitate expansion for the growth of this client’s busy practice.
