Wilmington Orthopedic Group
Medical Design International first met Wilmington Orthopaedic Group in 1995. At that time the practice utilized Medical Design International’s Medical Facility Planning Analysis Service and Medical Space Planning and Design Service to expand their facility.
In 2003, Wilmington Orthopaedic Group once again called Medical Design International to reevaluate their practice. They were an 8 physician, 5 PA practice wanting to grow to a 10 physician, 6 PA practice, which the expanded existing facility would not support this growth. They wanted to keep physical therapy on site while adding procedure rooms and possibly an after hours orthopedic emergency assistance.
Medical Design International joined with contractor Shelco, Inc. in the Design/Build process to provide Wilmington Orthopaedic Group with a 38,900 square foot facility.
