Illinois Eye Center
In 2004 Illinois Eye Center approached Medical Design International to perform our Medical Facility Planning Analysis (MFPA) for their practice. The 7 Ophthalmologists, 2 Optometrists practice was spread out over 3 locations with limited ability to add doctors and services. Their goal of expanding to 10 Ophthalmologist and improving operations could not be met in their current facilities.
After analyzing several options, the practice elected to develop a new facility combining their offices and providing capacity to expand their service. The 45,000 square foot facility provides space for 8 Ophthalmologist and 2 Optometrists to see patients at one time. Also included in the state of the art facility are a surgery suite, LASIK suite and optical shop.
