Gulf Coast Medical Center, Pensacola, Florida

Medical Design International was brought in by six different groups of doctors in the Pensacola area to help them develop a medical park.  Initially MDI’s work was to evaluate the site which could be used to effectively utilize the land.  Additionally, MDI’s recommendations for a “Medical Park” concept was accepted and pursued.

After the concept of development was established MDI evaluated the medical practices which were going into the project.  From this MDI was able to develop a space program evaluating how many square feet that each doctor group would need.

The original master plan for the site development suggested that six buildings would be built.  Based on the square footages that MDI programmed, it was determined that initially three buildings would be built.

After the feasibility and direction of the project was established, MDI did all the medical planning and developed the floor plans and elevations for the projects.
