HeartCare Midwest
HeartCare Midwest is a merger of two groups in Peoria, Illinois. The group wanted to create a regional center of excellence for cardiac care. The group engaged the services of Medical Design International to analyze the two locations, in an effort to make recommendations how to operationally and physically merge the groups. A site was selected on a hospital campus and the 90,000 square foot facility was designed by Medical Design International.
The facility is organized on 4 floors with the main entry level featuring a 3 story lobby and covered patient drop off. The facility houses cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, cardiac rehabilitation, diagnostic studies, clinical research, Cath lab services, Cardiac CT imaging, and a sleep lab.
